One of the most commercially important pelagic fish, Atlantic chub mackerel spawn and feed in warmer coastal waters.

Atlantic chub mackerel is a medium-sized pelagic fish. During the winter months, it’s found in deeper waters, but in warmer temperatures schools of Atlantic chub mackerel are found in warm and temperate transition waters.

Atlantic chub mackerel is harvested all year round in the Eastern Central Atlantic (FAO 34), off the coast of West Africa.
